Marsala's Angora Cardi

Image
Marsala's Angora Cardi First off, let's just say that I hope Marsala doesn't actually own an angora cardi...that would be sad..unless of course it was this magical bottle of nail polish!! The polish for the week of March 1st-7th is a Marsala spot on color by Essie named Angora Cardi.  This polih is great! Not only does it fit into the Marsala theme like a cat in a box, it also is beautiful and long lasting.  (cat in box) Ironically I had been on the fence for a while over Essie nail polishes. They just seemed to not excite me as much as they used to. So it was refreshing to find an Essie color that got me excited again. In my opinion, Angora Cardi  perfectly matches the color of the year! When applying this lacquer,  only two coats were necessary...and honestly, I think I could have gotten away with just one. As usual, Essie's drying time is just long enough. I personally am not a huge fan of the Essie base an top coats, so i didn't pai...

Illume Radiance

Illume Radiance I am desperately trying to catch up with myself this week! So a back-to-back post it is! This week's color is great; it is the exact definition of the color purple. This week's color is a SpaRitual color called Illume and it really is lovely. This creme polish is the perfect shade of just perfect purple. Illume was a bit more watery than I was prepared for and it left horrible streaking on the first coat. But that's ok, most of the second coats made the nails look finished. Only a few nails needed some extra polish. To top it all off I used the SpaRitual Multitasker Base and Top coat. This not only sealed the deal, it also added extra shine to the finished look of my polished nails. Overall I love this color of purple that is Illume, but the polish application could have gone a bit smoother if the lacquer wasn't as watery. But as ...

Check out these summer nails!

Check out these summer nails! My friend painted her nails not too long ago with a color that was perfect for summer.  This bright teal color looked great and made her summertime nails look fabulous. After scouring the SpaRitual website , I think the color she used is called Low Tide.  I love SpaRitual colors! I am currently using their base and topcoat polish on my nails when I do many of my manicures. All of the colors are vibrant and long lasting!  If you are interested in getting your hands on some SpaRitual polish, here's a tip: try any local Ulta store - they have the polish for a bit cheaper and they sometimes run specials (ex: buy one get one half off).  Be Radiant!
