The Radiant Trina

Image
The Radiant Trina Hi Everyone! I am excited for this week's color! Not only is it another Julep polish, Trina  was given to me by my best friend Meg!! Described as a "deep aubergine shimmer" Trina really is a deep purple. If it weren't for a little streaking, I could have gotten away with only one coat.  By the way, without googling it, does anyone know what "aubergine" is? I just learned a few weeks ago by watching a cooking show with my mom. Comment below if you know! The first coat of Trina dried kinda quickly, but the second coat took a bit longer than I would have liked.  But that's ok! I used my Freedom Polymer top coat to seal up my nails and help them on their last leg of the dry. So my nails got dry quicker and now they are super shy and feel like I have gel polish on! If you are interested in getting Trina  or the Freedom Polymer , check out Julep.com ! Also, of you have used any great colors lately, share t...

I found a good one on retailmenot.com and it made my whole purchase $5! Also, if you are already a Maven and got your last month's box, there's a coupon in there that you can use too! The Radiant Phia

Image
The Radiant Phia Hi Everyone! Julep has done it for me again. This week's color is a great shimmering purple! Phia is described as an "alluring orchid iridescent chrome" (there's that orchid theme again, yay!) is an amazing polish.  Because of the chrome-like effect of this polish, it makes it last even longer. Its almost as long lasting as your toughest glitter polish! What's even better is that it dried really quick too and was perfect even with two thin coats of color. Another win for Julep, my nails, and my time!! However, my favorite part of this polish is the fact that it has a slight green shimmer to it when you put it into the light. So pretty! So shiny! and So sophisticated too! If you want to get a bottle of Phia just check out  Julep's Website ! Sometimes you can even find the polish at your local Sephora or on QVC. If you have painted your nails with a great color, show them off! I would love to share your n...

The Radiant Katie Better late than never, right?! Its been a busy week for me, but I am so excited to show you guys this week's color!  Described as an "orchid iridescent chrome" polish, Katie is a great color by Julep that not only looks great, but give your nails a sophisticated shine.  Two of my friends from work used this color after it came in the August Julep box. Emily painted her toes and Beverley had a manicure done.  This is a beautiful color that totally embodies Pantone's color of the year Radiant Orchid .  If you are interested in getting a bottle of Katie for your polish collection, check out Julep.com to snag some. Also, if you have used a great color on your nails or just want to show of your snazzy nail job, please share it with me so I can post about it on the blog!! Be Radiant! Festival Nails

Image
Festival Nails A fun outdoor summer activity that many people enjoy participating in, are summer music festivals. From Bonnaroo, Warped Tour, Lollapalooza or even just a local music festival in your hometown festivals are a great way to enjoy the outdoors, see great entertainment, and be with friends. I myself am going to a Bluegrass festival in Virginia in a few weekends! Festival style is also a whole ball game of its own. So of course, you need the perfect nail polish to go with your concert clothes! Here are a few images of some great festival nail are I found on google to give you some festival inspiration:       Don't have the budget or skills to do nail art on your nails? Not to worry! Just adding some bright, bold or funky polish to your nails will help your festival look come together. Try painting your nails a complimentary color to what you are wearing. For example, if you are wearing a navy blue sundress, add a pop of color with an ora...

Happy Fourth of July

Image
Happy Fourth of July Hi Everyone! I hope you all are getting ready to have a great Fourth of July weekend! I know I am! A cookout, visiting with family, and day of rest are what I have in store for myself this weekend.  To get ready for my nice weekend ahead, I painted my nails! (Surprise, surprise!) And here is the simple manicure that I did to help amp up my look for the fourth!  For the blue color Julep's Monaco, which turned out to be a great blue color to represent the blue we see for the fourth! It went on smoothly and dried quickly! If you are interested in purchasing Monaco , which is also inspired by the color for this past spring, check out Julep.com. I got my bottle in a Sparklers trio set!  For the red color, I picked out a great Essie color that I have featured on the blog before   called Forever Yummy. This color finally looks good on me now that I have a bit of a tan! You can purchase Essie polish at almost any big name local drug...

Glam Roc Radiance

Image
Glam Roc Radiance Hi Everyone! Im keeping it short and sweet this week - it's only Tuesday, but its been a long week for me already! This weeks color of the week is an intense dark, almost black, purple Stardust Finish by Julep named Glam Roc.  Glam Roc is a great polish that went on easy and dried really fast. However, I really don't think I was very prepared for how dark this purple would really look on my nails. A lot of my friends thought I had on black sparkly polish. I also found that it took me a little longer to get use to the texture effect the Stardust Finish left on my nails.  If you are interested in getting your own bottle of the dark beauty, check out  Julep.com . If you have used a polish you really enjoyed or have some nails you would like to show off, please feel free to share them on the blog!! Be Radiant! Amanda #fiftytwoweeksofnails @theradiantamanda

The Radiant Hannah Visits Again

Image
The Radiant Hannah Visits Again Good Day Everyone! This week's post is about a great polish combination that was chosen by my friend Hannah. Hannah visited me this past week for a pedicure and used two great colors to create an amazing look for her pedicured toes.  For her polish she chose a base color by Julep called Billie Jean . This polish went on easy and in one coat! It also dried pretty fast which helped since we added the glitter on top.  For her glittering overlay, Hannah matched Billie Jean with Glitz by Wet n' Wild's Craze polish line. This glitter polish really made her toes pop!      If you're ever looking to spice up your nails, just try adding a fun glitter or accent polish tot the top of another color you already have on! Just be prepared - some glitter polish are extremely hard to remove. So plant to spend extra time on your polish removal.  You can find Billie Jean online at Julep.com if you are interested in ...

Check Out These Nails!

Image
Check Out These Nails! I had a great time last night doing the nails of my good friend Grace - You have got to see them! For her manicure and pedicure, Grace picked the color Lilou by Julep. This is a lovely spring and summer yellow! It even matched Grace's iPhone Color!  As you can also see in the picture to the bottom right of the PicStitch, I also pained on some Daisy petals on Grace's ring finger for a delicate accent nail! Thankfully she was so patient when I messed up a few times - I am still working on the whole nail art thing... If you want to grab a bottle of Lilou  check out Julep.com!  Any tips for me on nail art? Have you used any great colors that you would like to share?! I love showing off nails on my blog! Please contact me! Be Radiant! Amanda #fiftytwoweeksofnails @theradiantamanda
