Fifty-two Weeks of Marsala - India

Image
Fifty-two Weeks of Marsala - India Welcome back everyone, for an exciting year of Fifty-Two Weeks of Marsala! Marsala is this year's color of the year and it is a beautiful earthy, redish, wine-ish color. It's purpose is to speak to our souls.  For the first week of the year, January 1st-10th, the color I chose to start us off with is a great Zoya color! India is a great dark red glitter polish that is simply amazing! It not only looked great, but it lasted, and went on so smooth! When I put India on I thought that I might need a second coat, but really I didn't. I only put a second coat on because it feels odd if I don't. For this manicure, I first put a layer of Zoya's base coat, followed by color, then ending with Zoya's top coat.  As I said before, this color lasts!!! After almost two weeks of wear and tear, most of nails are only chipped on the ends where I spend most of my time typing. HOLY COW! It's amazing! I have never had ...

Pinks Are In! Here's a little nail polish trend update for you guys: Pink is in for the Fall and Winter! How exciting is that?! I for one and super excited about this! Usually people tend to lean towards the bronzes, rusts, and warmer colors of fall like orange, red and yellows, but I think its great to have such a lovely fun color thrown into the mix this year! What are your thoughts? Let's check out some great examples of some new pinks for the upcoming chilly autumn and winter seasons: (To go to the websites just click the images) Nails Inc: BUTTER London: I love the description of this polish, Snog : "A bright, hot pink creme. Zoya's Radiant Miley

Image
Zoya's Radiant Miley Hi Reader's! Sorry I am late Reader's! But here is this past week's color! This week's color is Miley a Zoya color that is described as being "a pale, delicate lilac creme with light blue undertones. A lovely botanical shade with-fashion edge".  Now, as for the creme part - this polish is THIN. I only put two coats of color on like normal, but it still could have used two more coats for me to not be able to see my nail underneath. This creme polish was practically see-through.  Miley was also a really watery polish! Like super runny. I personally am not a big fan of runny polish, but it did dry pretty fast! As for the look, this polish wasn't really for me. While it looked great with my tan, I just felt a bit off when wearing it. Maybe it'll look great on someone else though! Maybe you?  If you are interested in getting a bottle of this "botanical polish" check out Zoya.com or grab a bott...
