Kookie White from JINsoon Nail Lacquer

 First off - Oh My God. I am in LOVE with JINsoon nail polish. This past weekend my mom and I went on a Northern, Va. adventure and did a fair bit of shopping at Tyson's Corner Center Mall. During our shopping spree, I landed a really great deal at Nordstrom, and then finally had the chance to go into Sephora and grab some JINsoon polish. 

I am not sure which polish I was more excited about trying, but I did the eenie-meenie-minie-mo and decided to try the JINsoon first. This polish is AMAZING. Which would stand to reason - I would expect nothing less than perfection from the amazing nail artist Jin Soon. Here's a little Bio on the magical nail lady herself: 

"Known for her elegant simplicity, Jin Soon Choi is one of the most influential nail artists in the industry. Born in Korea, Jin moved to New York City in 1991 and quickly built a reputation as a rising freelance nail artist. Her early experiences manicuring at salons - where the pace was fast and there was little time spent with each client - inspired her to go out on her own and offer more personalized, one-on-one services. She earned the nickname "Bicycle Jin" as she biked to and from her clients' apartments on her trusty 10-speed. 

Jin soon earned a loyal following as the go-to manicurist of top editors, photographers, designers and celebrities. Crowned the "Nail Guru" by The New York Times Magazine, Jin is best known for her ability to pinpoint current and emerging trends and translate them into the art of nail design. In 1999, she opened her first Jin Soon Hand and Foot Spa in the East Village specializing in nail treatments along with waxing and brow shaping. The success of the 300 square-foot spa led to two more locations: one in the West Village, where neighborhood regular Sarah Jessica Parker was the first client, and another on the Upper East Side, which features an intricate walnut wood wall running the entire length of the salon.

The range of shades includes those named by models she regularly works with, and is 5-free (of harsh chemicals) and formulated with high-tech polymers and resins that ensure long wear and a shiny finish. Though celebrated for her creative genius, flawless technique and signature touch, Jin is also respected and adored among industry peers for her dedication, passion and warm, easygoing manner." But back to the polish - Kookie White as deemed Zoey Deschanel's favorite JINsoon polish

 is a lovely "off white with an edgy twist" that totally makes my nails pop! This polish went on as smooth as butter! It was mind-boggling! It even dried in a great amount of time. I have never had an experience with polish like this one before. Even the polish brush was magical. So soft. So, so soft. 

The only thing I can tell you, is to splurge and go out and get your own! You just have to try it! Plus...I don't think I'm sharing my bottles...If you want to get your own bottles of JINsoon Nail Lacquer, check out the JINsoon website, or head on over to your local Sephora.

Keep That Callus First off, a callus is a thickened and hardened part of the skin or soft tissue, esp. in an area that has been subjected to friction. In regards to nail technology, most calluses that are seen in the salon are found on the bottoms of the heels, and sides of the feet and toes. Many common calluses are also found on pressure points on the bottoms of the feet. I always get  them on the backs and edges of my heels.  Sometimes, we notice that calluses cause us agitation or pain, and thus we wish to reduce them.  Have you ever gone into a discount nail salon and seen one of these tools used on your feet? At some nail salons, your pedicurist might offer to shave your calluses with a credo blade (that handheld device that looks like a cross between a razor and a vegetable peeler seen above).
