The Radiant Anne

Image
The Radiant Anne Hello Everyone! I am so excited to show you guys this week's color! This week's color is a lovely purple color by Julep named Anne.  This color is so fun! I enjoyed wearing it over the weekend and got a bunch of complements. The creme polish color went on like a charm; I almost didn't even need a second coat.  For my top coat, I used one of my favorite products out there right now - the Julep Freedom Polymer Top Coat. It goes on like polish, has a gel like finish, and dries completely within five minutes under your regular house lamp. If you like gel polish, but don't like the cost, try this product! It will change your life. For Real.  Want to grab some of these great polish products? Head on over to  Julep.com  and purchase them, or just go on ahead and become a maven! Have you used any fun colors lately? Let me know! I would love to feature them on the blog! Be Radiant! Amanda

Butter London Bag

Image
Butter London Bag I'm not sure if the deal is still on, but right now at Ulta if you purchase $30 of Butter London Cosmetics you can get this really great little bag!  I purchased two bottles of Butter London Nail Polish, Molly Coddled and Blowing Raspberries. I am so excited about Molly Coddled; it is Butter London's polish that is inspired by Pantone's color of the year Radiant Orchid.  I have already broken into my bottle of Blowing Raspberries!  I paired it with a fun Julep color, Joelle,  for a great accent nail.  Do you know of any special polish deals? Have you bought any new polish? If you have, I would love to feature it on the blog!  Be Radiant! Amanda

Lucky Lucky Lavender Radiance

Image
Lucky Lucky Lavender Radiance Happy week of St. Patrick's day! I originally was having trouble picking a purple color that would fit for this week of the year, but then I realized that I had a color that's title said it all!  Lucky Lucky Lavender is a fabulous OPI color that embraces a mix of baby pink and purple. And the title was perfect for this week, which is all about having the Luck of the Irish. I hope you find this color as wonderful as I do! When applying this color, I used a new base and top coat combination by Sparitual. I love this combination because it cuts down on my bottle clutter. So, I used the Spartiual as the base coat, then put on two coats of color, and finished up with the same Sparitual again, but as the top coat this time.  This color by OPI needs two coats to look wonderful, but they don't have to be thick! I put on two very thin coats and Lucky Lucky Lavender  made my nails look amazing! Would you like to get your hands on

The Radiant Hannah

Image
The Radiant Hannah Hello Everyone!! The week's post is exciting for me!! I had the wonderful opportunity to do another one of my good friends nails. As a nail tech it is important to have a variety of services that you can provide your clients. For my friend Hannah I had the opportunity to give her my special Milk and Honey Manicure.  This mani is great because it consists of a special Milk and Honey soak, warm towels, Milk and Honey cuticle oil treatment, a massage with a Milk and Honey butter lotion, and of course the amazing nail color of your choice.  Hannah picked a great color, too! She picked this week's color which is  Demi by Zoya.  Demi by Zoya is a great purple, cream finish polish that is bold yet also beautiful. When applying this polish I used the whole Zoya nail system - Remove, nail polish remover; Anchor, as the base coat; Armor, as the top coat; and The Fast Dry Drops for a quicker dry.  This color most definitely needed two coats of color, bu

Radiant Polka Dots

Image
Radiant Polka Dots I don't know about you guys, but I am enjoying a snow day today!!! And the day is just as exciting as these fun fun pink polka dot nails! I thought that this week's nail polish goes well with the theme Radiant Orchid because of its pretty pink base color but also because of the spotted texture! My friend Sunshine volunteered her nails for this fun polish and blog pos,t and said that she received many complements on its cool look! This weeks color is Maybelline's Color Show Polka Dots Pretty in Polka. It has a base pink color with pieces, much like pieces of glitter, that give the polish its polka dot look.  When putting this polish on Sunshine's nails, it most definitely took two coats! As well, I felt that I sometimes had to push around the little dot pieces to make a better overall polka dot effect.  I was afraid the the polka dots pieces might leave an unwanted jagged texture on the top of nails, but without a topcoat it was minim
