The Radiant Phia

Image
The Radiant Phia Hi Everyone! Julep has done it for me again. This week's color is a great shimmering purple! Phia is described as an "alluring orchid iridescent chrome" (there's that orchid theme again, yay!) is an amazing polish.  Because of the chrome-like effect of this polish, it makes it last even longer. Its almost as long lasting as your toughest glitter polish! What's even better is that it dried really quick too and was perfect even with two thin coats of color. Another win for Julep, my nails, and my time!! However, my favorite part of this polish is the fact that it has a slight green shimmer to it when you put it into the light. So pretty! So shiny! and So sophisticated too! If you want to get a bottle of Phia just check out  Julep's Website ! Sometimes you can even find the polish at your local Sephora or on QVC. If you have painted your nails with a great color, show them off! I would love to share your n

Some Radiant Grape Ice

Image
Some Radiant Grape Ice It isn't quite like grape soda - but this polish is sure great!  This week's polish color of the week is a Clinique nail enamel called Grape Ice . Who knew Clinique even made nail polish?! I most definitely did not, until I started using some of their skin products.  Grape Ice is a lovely pink color with just a hint of purple. The first coat went on smooth and dried really fast too! The second coat went on great as well, giving an all over great coverage. My second coat was a bit thicker, but it still dried in a reasonable amount of time. Yay!  Once I added the topcoat, these nails were good to go! This color is so fun and just muted enough to not be an in-your-face color. It's also been about three days since I painted my nails - and not a single chip yet! That's the way I like it! And to boot - Clinique's nail enamels are created in mind for people with sensitive skin. If you have ever had an issue with sensit

The Radiant Katie

Image
The Radiant Katie Better late than never, right?! Its been a busy week for me, but I am so excited to show you guys this week's color!  Described as an "orchid iridescent chrome" polish, Katie is a great color by Julep that not only looks great, but give your nails a sophisticated shine.  Two of my friends from work used this color after it came in the August Julep box. Emily painted her toes and Beverley had a manicure done.  This is a beautiful color that totally embodies Pantone's color of the year Radiant Orchid .  If you are interested in getting a bottle of Katie for your polish collection, check out Julep.com to snag some. Also, if you have used a great color on your nails or just want to show of your snazzy nail job, please share it with me so I can post about it on the blog!! Be Radiant! Shark Week Inspired Nails!

Image
Shark Week Inspired Nails! Check these nails out! My friend Grace is getting ready for shark week - she painted her nails in the style of the Leopard Shark. Here's some information about the Leopard shark: The leopard shark is a species of houndshark. It is found along the Pacific coast of North America, from the U.S. state of Oregon to Mazatlán in Mexico. Typically measuring 3.9–4.9 ft long, this slender-bodied shark is immediately identifiable by the striking pattern of black saddle-like markings and large spots over its back, from which it derives its common name. Large schools of leopard sharks are a common sighted in bays, swimming over sandy or muddy flats or rock-strewn areas near kelp beds and reefs.  Active-swimming predators, groups of leopard sharks often follow the tide to forage for food. Most leopard sharks tend to remain within a particular area rather than undertaking long movements elsewhere, which has led to genetic divergence between popu

A Radiant Recipe for Love

Image
A Radiant Recipe for Love Hello friend! I am so excited for this week's post because it involves a trio of polishes! This past weekend when my mom and I visited Tyson's Corner to go shopping, I made it (finally) into a Nordstrom so I could pick up a bottle of Deborah Lippmann to try. Low and behold! They were having their biggest sale and this trio was one of the anniversary sale items! What luck, right? Well, it gets better. This polish is AMAZING! I have thoroughly enjoyed playing around and creating my own "recipe for love" with this polish trio.  The first polish in the "Recipe for Love" trio box is Deborah Lippmann's Let's Stay Together . Lemme tell ya - I will stay with this polish ANY day! Its a great dark and kinda muted purplish-pink (which made it great for the blog) and it went on so smoothly. This polish most definitely needed two coats of color to look good, but once the second coat was on, it was flawless! It even trie
