Image
Pantone's Radiant Orchid 2014 Thank you readers! I am so excited to finish out the year of the Radiant Orchid and start a new year of Marsala, but here is one last post! For this final week of the year 2014 I thought it would be fitting to showcase Pantone's nail polish collection specifically for Radiant Orchid. Along with Sephora, Pantone created this color trio that perfectly sums up this years radiant color.  Here is Pantone + Sephora for the 2014 color of the year Radiant Orchid:  The first of the three colors in this little trio is Radiant Orchid itself. It really is a great color to match the color of the year! This polish was also the first time I had encountered Sephora polish and I can say, I wasn't let down! This polish was also the first time I had encountered Sephora polish and I can say, I wasn't let down! After two coats of color, this polish evened out and gave great coverage without streaks.  There isn't much more

Radiant Orchid Rae

Image
Radiant Orchid Rae Hi Everyone! We have almost completed out the year! First off, I hope everyone's Christmas and Holiday's have been great. Also, I hope you are all safe in your travels, wherever they may take you! I thought this Julep polish would be a good color to help us wrap up the year. Rae is Julep's nail polish that celebrates Pantone's color of the year, Radiant Orchid. It does an absolutely perfect job! Rae is the color that is the exact match to Pantone's color swatch. Rae went on smooth and radiant, just like I had hoped! It took a bit of time to dry though...but when it was paired with Julep's amazing Freedom Polymer topcoat it was a manicure from the gods! It looked amazing and sophisticated. To enjoy this beautiful classic with a twist color, check out Julep.com , your local Sephora, or even QVC.  Have a radiant color to share? Show them off here! I would love to post about your nails on the blog! Be Radiant! A

Pantone's Color of the Year 2015 Revealed! Did you all hear?! Pantone's color of the Year for 2015 has been revealed and I can't wait to start this nail challenge over again!  This upcoming year's color is named Marsala and it is described as "a naturally robust and earthy wine red" and thus, " Marsala enriches our minds, bodies and souls."   How amazing is this?! This year's color is about the inner self, and the focus on our own personal journey.    (Ya'll see this girls nails, right?!) This color is so pretty and also perfect for work and play! With the right outfits paired with the right Marsala inspired color, you will be able to swiftly make the change between office and date night! Due to it's earthy tones, it also won't be a color that is in your face. It won't take away from you.  I personally love what Executive Director, Leatrice Eiseman had to say about the 2015 shade, " Marsala is

Jamaica me Crazy Radiant

Image
Jamaica me Crazy Radiant We are almost nearing the endddddddd! Only two more weeks left! But for this week, I picked a fun color that's also a little wild...It is Christmas shopping season...that makes me a little crazy... This Essie color is called Jamaica Me Crazy and it's a super fun color. Its Bright, Shiny, and a little Spunky. I have enjoyed wearing it! The first coat of this color seemed a bit streaky and watery, but after I put the second coat on, the polish evened itself out. Adding the top coat sealed the deal for a great look.  Like all Essie colors, Jamaica Me Crazy had a a moderate drying time. Pretty normal for this brand I'd say. It also had a pretty normal wear time. It lasted (with base and top coat) a bit over a weeks or so.  If you want to get your hands on a bottle of Jamaica Me Crazy  just check out your local super center, drugstores or your local Ulta store. Essie polishes can also be purchased online on sites like Am

Lavender Sugar Radiance

Image
Lavender Sugar Radiance It is my birthday week! AND I am finally getting all caught up on my blog posts! AND this color is AMAZING. Well, the color is great...but the polish's features are even better.  tea Beauty, which I can find absolutely no information about online, put out this line of scented polish. I didn't even know this polish was scented until I popped open the bottle!  While having great coverage with two coats, it also had a great, non overpowering scent. Although not long lasting, the scent was nice for the time that it did last.  This polish was also THE FASTEST DRYING POLISH I HAVE PUT ON THIS YEAR. Omg. For real. So fast. I want more.  I have been holding on to this polish for a while now and am so mad at myself for not trying it sooner! It proves even my brain has a slight stigma against drugstore brand polishes...shame on me! I got this polish from my local CVS, but you could try checking out your local drugstore

Bond with Whomever and Chelsea Enchantment Gardens Radiance

Bond with Whomever and Chelsea Enchantment Gardens Radiance Hi Everyone!  Here is December 1-5 week's color of the week! WITH A TWIST.  This week's color is an Essie polish called Bond with Whomever  and for the holidays, I hope you and your friends and family have time to bond with one another again.  I love Essie polish and this one was another hit for me. It went on smooth and had great coverage with two coats of color.  It also dried moderately fast, which is always a plus for me! I for one loved this color on and would totally choose it again. HOWEVER...I was in the mood for just a little something extra... So, I grabbed my bottle of Nails Inc. Chelsea Embankment  and added some fun lace-like delicate glitter/embellishment to my nails. As you can see it almost looks a bit like snow! This floral embellishment polish is so fun and gave me the extra pizzazz I was looking for.It also dried quick!  If you want to grab a bottle of Bo
