The Radiant Trina

Image
The Radiant Trina Hi Everyone! I am excited for this week's color! Not only is it another Julep polish, Trina  was given to me by my best friend Meg!! Described as a "deep aubergine shimmer" Trina really is a deep purple. If it weren't for a little streaking, I could have gotten away with only one coat.  By the way, without googling it, does anyone know what "aubergine" is? I just learned a few weeks ago by watching a cooking show with my mom. Comment below if you know! The first coat of Trina dried kinda quickly, but the second coat took a bit longer than I would have liked.  But that's ok! I used my Freedom Polymer top coat to seal up my nails and help them on their last leg of the dry. So my nails got dry quicker and now they are super shy and feel like I have gel polish on! If you are interested in getting Trina  or the Freedom Polymer , check out Julep.com ! Also, of you have used any great colors lately, share t...

Radiance In A Haze

Image
Radiance In A Haze Hi Everyone! This week's color of the week was totally not intentional. I originally hadn't intended to do a Matte finish nail polish on the blog...but I must have been in a total daze yesterday. As I stpoped by the pharmacy I saw this lovely purple polish on the shelf and HAD to have it! I guess I never read the bottle though. I never realized it was a matte finish polish. So, I paint about three nails and then look more closely  - huge surprise to me! (a sad one unfortunately...I am not this biggest matte fan) However, persoanl bias aside, this color as a Matte is really a lovely one. After two coats of color, In A Haze  was perfectly smooth and had a perfect matte finish look. Sally Hansen nailed it! This polish not only went on well, it dried fast. In my book, that makes it a win! Now, of course by now you have notiece the other picture of the nails with a nice shine to them. Well, I personally couldn't stand the dissapointment ...

Zoya's Radiant Miley

Image
Zoya's Radiant Miley Hi Reader's! Sorry I am late Reader's! But here is this past week's color! This week's color is Miley a Zoya color that is described as being "a pale, delicate lilac creme with light blue undertones. A lovely botanical shade with-fashion edge".  Now, as for the creme part - this polish is THIN. I only put two coats of color on like normal, but it still could have used two more coats for me to not be able to see my nail underneath. This creme polish was practically see-through.  Miley was also a really watery polish! Like super runny. I personally am not a big fan of runny polish, but it did dry pretty fast! As for the look, this polish wasn't really for me. While it looked great with my tan, I just felt a bit off when wearing it. Maybe it'll look great on someone else though! Maybe you?  If you are interested in getting a bottle of this "botanical polish" check out Zoya.com or grab a bott...

Wakeup Wisteria Radiance

Image
Wakeup Wisteria Radiance Hi Everyone! This week's color of the week is so lovely! It's a great shade of purple that is perfect for the blog. Wakeup Wisyeria is a purple polish by PIXI Beauty by Petra and I am so excited to talk about it on the blog! This is the second time that the Wisteria plant has cropped up on the blog - for another wisteria based polish, check out my other post . As "Makeup to Wakeup" PIXI is all about being "flawless in a few fuss-free minutes" and this polish does just that! This Wakeup Wisteria polish went on smooth in about two coats of color. Each coat only took minutes to dry! How nice is that!? I am sometimes time crunched when painting my nails, so I always love a good polish that dries quickly.  I have also had on this polish for about three days now, and I don't have a single chip yet. Three days isn't saying much, but I have done a lot of typing and even more hand washing over the past coup...
